How long does a tour typically last?
Each guided tour lasts approximately 40 to 45 minutes, giving you plenty of time to explore the rich history and beauty of Historic Ramsey House.

Can I do a self-guided tour?
Self-guided tours are only available during select special events. During regular visiting hours, all tours are led by our knowledgeable and friendly docents, who bring the history of Ramsey House to life with engaging stories and expert insights.

Can I bring food and/or drink in the Historic Ramsey House?
To help preserve the historic integrity of Ramsey House, food and drinks are not permitted inside the home. However, we invite you to enjoy a meal or snack at our picnic tables located on the grounds. It’s the perfect spot to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings!

Am I allowed to take photographs while on a guided tour of the Historic Ramsey House?
We welcome photography during guided tours—feel free to capture the beauty of Historic Ramsey House! However, we kindly ask that you refrain from using flash to help preserve our historic interiors.
Video recording is not permitted unless prior approval has been granted by Ramsey House staff.

How many stairs are there during a guided tour?
To enter the historic house, visitors will need to navigate five stone steps leading into the kitchen. Inside, there is a staircase with 18 steps to access the second floor. Handrails are available throughout the home for added support.
For your comfort, chairs are provided in each room if you need a place to rest during your tour.

Is the Historic Ramsey House ADA accessible?
While the historic home is not 100% ADA accessible, we do offer a virtual tour upon request. Our Visitor Center, which includes our restrooms and gift shop, is ADA accessible.

Am I allowed to bring my pet?
We love welcoming pets to the grounds of Historic Ramsey House! Feel free to explore the outdoor areas with your furry friend, but please keep them on a leash and clean up after them.
Summer Tip: The grounds can get quite warm during the summer months, so be sure to bring extra water to keep your pet comfortable.
Please note: Pets are not allowed inside the historic home.
