Join us for the first basket weaving class for the year! Big enough for a laptop, sturdy enough for books, this Shoulder Tote is perfect for your everyday needs! Dyed reed will be available for personalization of the basket. Beginners are welcome, and moderate hand strength a plus. All tools and materials provided by the instructor. Estimated weave time is 3 hours.

The Shoulder Tote class is limited to 10 participants. Cost is $70 for Friends of Ramsey House members and $75 for non-members.

Sheri Burns Bio
A retired homeschool mom of 4, as well as a practicing nurse for the last 30 years, Sheri first learned basketry 18 years ago as an extension of being a homeschool teacher. While teaching Appalachian history to her children, she took her first basket class, so she could make baskets with her kids and fell in love with the art form. Sheri is passionate about teaching the art of basket weaving as well as continually learning new styles and techniques.
