About our collection:

The Historic Ramsey House’s permanent collection is home to more than 50 historic quilts and other textiles dating from the early 1800's to the mid 1900's. From the Pickle Dish to the Rose and Bud, these beautiful works of art, help to tell the story of East Tennessee families, from all walks of life, one stitch at a time. Our ongoing effort to protect and store the collection is integral to ensuring its survival for future generations.

Support the Historic Ramsey House's ongoing preservation efforts! Adopt a quilt today!

Each quilt in the collection requires specific archival storage units to protect them from damage and discoloration. With your symbolic adoption of a Ramsey House quilt, you are helping to provide that equipment. Also, a collection is best when it is shared with the community and beyond, because of this your support will also help us to purchase proper display equipment so that the collection may be periodically exhibited for visitors to Ramsey House to enjoy.
